Dr. Shireen Hussain: The Art and Science of Aesthetic Dermatology

For Dr. Shireen Hussain, Aesthetics isn’t just about treating the skin—it’s about helping people feel confident in their own. A highly trained and internationally experienced Aesthetic Physician, Dr. Hussain has dedicated her career to blending the precision of medical science with the elegance of aesthetic enhancement.

Dr. Hussain grew up in Dubai, where her interest in skin health and beauty first took root. She later completed her medical education in India and pursued clinical training at world-renowned institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Northwestern University. Her post-graduate studies in Dermatology from Cardiff, UK—where she graduated with honors—further refined her expertise. She then completed a Fellowship in Anti-Aging Medicine from the United States and advanced certifications in injectables, laying the foundation for a career that bridges both clinical and aesthetic dermatology.

Dr. Shireen practices at the prestigious Ceia Clinic, where she serves as the Medical Director and Aesthetic Physician, leading with a commitment to excellence in advanced aesthetic and dermatological care. She also practices at Sesderma Skin Center, an international skincare brand, further expanding her expertise in skin health and aesthetic treatments. Dr. Hussain additionally extends her expertise internationally as a Visiting Dermatologist in Oman. Prior to joining Ceia, she practiced at Aesthetica Clinic.

She is known for her thoughtful, individualized approach to skin rejuvenation and facial aesthetics. Her practice includes a wide range of advanced treatments—from injectables like Botox, dermal fillers, and collagen stimulators to laser therapies, Chemical Peel,  Non-Surgical face lifting, PRP, stem cell therapies, and medical-grade wellness treatments. She also manages complex dermatological conditions including acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, and alopecia among others. Dr. Shireen has a special interest in the treatment of pigmentation.

She believes in treating her patients on the principles of evidence-based medicine, and continues to actively participate in continuing medical education and quality care.

What truly drives Dr. Hussain is her passion for aesthetics. “I was drawn to aesthetic dermatology because it allows me to bring out the best in people—not just physically, but emotionally. When someone feels good about their skin, it transforms how they carry themselves,” she says. For her, the field is the perfect intersection of science and artistry—where results are not only seen but deeply felt.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Hussain is passionate about wellness and believes in living a balanced, intentional life. She has a strong love for horse riding and also enjoys staying active at the gym, exploring new destinations through travel, unwinding with her favorite TV shows, and spending quality time with her family. “Wellness is not just a trend—it’s a philosophy I live by and encourage my patients to adopt.”
